The Eyesey Baby Chronicles: Make Me Smile
For the first few weeks, of her life, my Little One would give these beautiful but random smiles. They would be at nothing in particular and would happen at any time.
“It’s the Angels that she sees” cried the Grandmothers in pure delight.
Whether you believe in Angels or not, it’s lovely to think that she sees beauty where we perhaps don’t.
We have since realised that many of those smiles were simply reflexive, no emotion attached. We even went so far as to break it down further and call them “fart smiles”. Every time she had gas, she smiled! (I think she takes after The Hubby!).
Baby is now almost 10 weeks old, and for the last 2 weeks, our cooing, singing, and funny faces have been paying off. She is finally smiling responsively.
Every morning and throughout the day, we get that open-mouthed, toothless grin of pure pleasure that makes our hearts melt and our eyes well up (yes that still happens).
I know that anyone who has met her, can attest to that.Baby, blog, child development, eyecare, eyesey, New mums, pinner opticians, vision
